Career Management at a (job seeker’s) reasonable cost

Situation

Paul, a food General Manager with a strong experience in lean manufacturing, had been looking for a job for more than a year without success.

Problem

Paul was getting desperate and in a difficult financial situation. He needed help but could not afford the fees that many outplacement companies charged for their services (a month of salary).

Solution

We helped Paul review his CV, understand and highlight his strengths, and prepare for interviews via emails and one Skype conversation. We kept it direct and down to earth. Paul felt more confident being accompanied during this challenging time. Given our experience in the industry we helped him match what was needed for the job to his own skills. We asked Paul to decide on the fees (what this support was worth to him) instead of proposing the fees ourselves.
